1. Company Overview and Accounting Boundary |
Company Overview: Tangshan Yutian Jinzhou Industrial Co., Ltd. is located in the Industrial Cluster Zone of Guojiatun Town, Yutian County, Hebei Province, just north of Wanglezhuang Village, covering an area of 30 hectares. The company currently employs 700 staff members, including 540 production workers, 61 technical personnel, and 99 management personnel, and is recognized as a key enterprise in Yutian County. Established in May 2008, the company is headed by legal representative Wang Hongqi, with a registered capital of RMB 75 million and total investment of RMB 1 billion. It is a short-process integrated steel enterprise that combines electric arc furnace smelting, refining, continuous casting, and rolling into a single operation. The company currently operates two 60-ton Consteel electric arc furnaces, two 75-ton LF refining furnaces, one curved continuous caster, one 110 kV substation with a capacity of 189,000 kVA, and one 6,500 m 3 The oxygen-generation unit has a steelmaking capacity of 700,000 tonnes per year; the rolling mill is equipped with one high-speed wire rod production line, comprising a natural-gas-fired heating furnace, 28 stands of rolling mills, a wire-drawing machine, an air-cooling roller table, and a P-F wire-drawing line, with a production capacity of 700,000 tonnes per year. Raw materials—scrap steel—are charged into an electric arc furnace for melting. Various alloying additives are then introduced to adjust the chemical composition, producing molten steel that is subsequently analyzed to ensure it meets specified standards. The molten steel is cast into billets by a continuous casting machine, which are conveyed via a roller table to the rolling mill. There, the billets are heated by electric heating units before being fed into a 28-stand fully continuous rolling mill to produce wire rod. Accounting Boundary: Fuel Combustion Emissions: 1. Natural gas and carbon-increasing agents used in steelmaking; 2. Propane used in workshops and mechanical repair shops; 3. Gasoline and diesel fuel used for company vehicles. Emissions from the production process: 1. Input of scrap steel as raw material in steelmaking; 2. Emissions from the input of pig iron; 3. Emissions from the input of ferrosilicon, silicomanganese alloy, quicklime, dolomite, fluorite, and oxygen. Net purchased electricity emissions: Emissions embedded in purchased electricity Embodied Emissions of Carbon-Neutral Products: Carbon Emissions from Exported Products |
2. Processes and Major Facilities Related to Greenhouse Gas Emissions |
1. Propane for steelmaking, continuous casting cutting, and equipment maintenance. 2. Diesel is consumed by in-plant loaders and finished-product transfer vehicles, while gasoline or diesel is used by logistics vehicles. 3. Emissions generated during the smelting of scrap steel, pig iron, and silicon-manganese materials in the steelmaking workshop. 4. Carbon emissions embedded in the product due to its export sales. |
3. Quality Assurance and Document Archiving System |
1. Establish an organizational structure for corporate greenhouse gas emissions 2. Establish a testing plan for raw and auxiliary materials 3. Establish ledgers for raw material and fuel consumption 4. Establish a management system for raw and auxiliary materials 5. Regularly organize inspections to assess the implementation of the system. |
